Madda Walabu University Provided Entrepreneurship Training for Graduating Students

Madda Walabu University has successfully conducted a comprehensive entrepreneurship training program for its 2027 G.C. graduating students, aiming to equip them with practical skills and an entrepreneurial mindset for their future careers.


The opening session of the training was enriched by the presence of an honored guest, Mr. Zemene Tegegn, a PhD Candidate from Case Western Reserve University, during his address, Mr. Zemene shared valuable insights drawn from his personal experiences in entrepreneurship, inspiring trainees to explore innovative ideas and pursue self-employment opportunities. Furthermore, Mr.Zemene also substantiated his experience sharing by citing examples from both his academic journey and practical experience to encourage graduating students to think beyond conventional career paths and prepare themselves for a rapidly changing professional world.


The training brought together more than 150 outstanding students, selected as top performers from each department among the 2027 graduating class. The program focused on enhancing students’ understanding of business development, innovation, and job creation strategies.

In his closing remarks, the Administrative and Development Vice President of Madda Walabu University and delegate of the President, Assistant Professor Issa Hasen, emphasized the critical importance of entrepreneurship training in preparing graduates for the challenges of the modern job market. He also expressed his appreciation to all organizing committees for their dedication in successfully implementing the program.


The event concluded with the awarding of certificates of recognition to all participants, marking the successful completion of the training and encouraging students to apply their newly acquired skills in their future endeavors. This training is the second round training organized by Community Service and Technology Transfer Directorate Office of Madda Walabu University in this academic year.
