Our Story

From Bale to the world.

Madda Walabu University (MWU) is a comprehensive public university located in Robe, the administrative seat of Bale Zone in the Oromia Regional State of Ethiopia. Established in 2005, MWU has grown into one of the country's leading institutions of higher learning.

Today, the university operates across three strategic campuses, hosts eight academic colleges, and has produced more than 46,000 graduates. With over 12,000 scholarly publications since 2014, MWU stands at the forefront of research in agriculture, tourism, biodiversity, and health sciences.
