STEM FAIR EXPO 2026 Held in Robe City with Strong Institutional Collaboration

The ESTM Expo was successfully conducted in Robe City through a collaborative effort between Madda Walabu University, the Robe Education Office, and Case Western Reserve University. The event brought together a diverse audience, including educators, students, and representatives from various institutions, to celebrate innovation and promote science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education.


The program commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by the Deputy Vice Mayor of Robe City, Mr. Jemal Abba Garo in his remarks, he expressed his appreciation for the collaborative initiative and emphasized the importance of such events in fostering educational development and community engagement.

Following the welcoming session, the opening speech was delivered by Mr. Issa Hasen, Vice President for Administration and Development at Madda Walabu University and delegate of the University President in his address, Mr. Issa highlighted the significance of the STEM Power Expo in enhancing practical learning, strengthening institutional partnerships, and encouraging students to actively engage in scientific innovation. He also underscored the university’s commitment to supporting initiatives that bridge education with real-world applications.


A key highlight of the event was the speech delivered by Miss. Joycelynn Cleming, an honored guest from Case Western Reserve University. She elaborated on her institution’s ongoing support for STEM power centers and outlined future plans aimed at expanding collaboration and strengthening capacity in STEM education. Her remarks reinforced the importance of global partnerships in advancing educational excellence and innovation.

The expo also featured vibrant student presentations, where participants showcased their projects and research outputs to the audience. These presentations reflected creativity, critical thinking, and practical application of knowledge, drawing significant attention and appreciation from attendees. It successfully brought together stakeholders from different sectors, reinforcing the shared commitment to advancing STEM education and empowering the next generation of innovators.
